WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO HOST A SCREENING?

Each stop on El Tonto Por Cristo’s Lenten Tour is a shared act of faith and film. We travel to your city for a Sunday screening, bringing a pre-show conversation, Q&A, and full merch setup. We partner with independent and historic theaters and handle the ticketing, tech, and logistics.

WHEN ARE THE DATES?

We’re scheduling screenings throughout Lent 2026 and have a few more openings available. Once your city confirms a date, it’s added to the official tour calendar.

WHAT IS REQUIRED TO HOST?

We ask for a 200-ticket commitment. This can be met through parishes, organizations, or community partners working together.

Example: four parishes may each commit to 50 tickets; one parish could take 100 and another 25 or 50; or a single organization might underwrite all 200.

WHAT IS THE TICKET RATE?

Once the host gathers verbal commitments and provides a delivery date for checks made out to Holy Fool Films LLC, we offer a cash rate of $19 per ticket. This bypasses platform and processing fees, saving an average of $3–$5 per ticket. Tickets are delivered electronically once received.

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER WE COMMIT?

After we receive your verbal commitment, we confirm your date, reserve the theater, and set up the ticketing platform. You’ll also receive a digital asset kit to promote locally.

WHAT DOES THE 200-TICKET MINIMUM COVER?

A 200-ticket commitment typically covers the minimum cost of the theater rental and the travel expenses for the filmmakers to attend in person.
